Scalable Vector Graphics
SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) is an XML-based vector image format developed by the W3C. AV1 Image File Format
AVIF (AV1 Image File Format) is a next-generation image format based on the AV1 video codec. AVIF provides approximately 50% better compression than JPEG and 20% better than WebP at equivalent quality. It supports HDR, wide color gamut, transparency, animation, and lossless compression. AVIF is supported by Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. While encoding is slower than JPEG or WebP, AVIF produces the smallest file sizes with excellent quality, making it ideal for web performance optimization.
