Scalable Vector Graphics
SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) is an XML-based vector image format developed by the W3C. Unlike raster formats (JPG, PNG), SVG describes images using mathematical paths, shapes, and text, allowing them to scale to any size without quality loss — from a tiny icon to a billboard.
